The Fattoria del Teso will host for the second year this prestigious literary award. The gala dinner will be an occasion to meet with the writers and the jury.

The Cerruglio Award was founded in 2011 by Mr. Gabriele Focosi, President of the Lucca Session of the National Union of Pensioned Military Officers, and it is a literary award of non fiction and storytelling literature with international relevance. The competition is open to books published in first edition from the 1st January to the 31st December of the year preceding the competition. The topic of the books needs to be based on National Defence and Security and/or needs to have as main characters officers or soldiers of our army.

The competition is organized every year on the basis of a special regulation and ends with a ceremony where the award is granted. This ceremony is always held in the Municipality of Montecarlo during the first weekend of September.

Besides the literary award, during the above mentioned ceremony other special prizes are granted as well as conferences and round tables on topics of National Security and Defence are held.
